Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of spiderSilk's products and platforms through comprehensive testing and validation processes.

This role requires a passion for quality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and security professionals to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.

• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and validate new features.

• Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, and security-related platforms.

• Verify software performance, usability, and reliability across multiple environments.

• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and agile development activities.

• Support release validation and production readiness activities.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with security and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum environments.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and secure software development practices.

• Experience testing SaaS platforms, cloud applications, or cybersecurity products.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
